old skateboard guys are funny. they aren't all gnarly but it's awesome how much skating meant to them.
he was bummed to see that almost all skateboards are out-sourced to mexico or china so we talked about skateboarding for a while. his 6 year old son seems pretty excited about skating. what a different way to encounter skateboarding, introduced by parent. when i was a kid it was baseball, that my father introduced me to. will skateboarding seem inherently less rebellious in the future? or does that even matter?
